Kingdom Rush App Review

Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game that is available on all Apple devices as well as online. The medieval themed game allows for the chance to defend an end point from a particular group of enemies. These towers include mages, archers, barracks and artillery. There are noticeable differences between the online version and phone versions, which can affect how easy it is to conquer some of the more challenging levels.

Each level that you must defend has different enemies, whose weakness to your weapons changes. The levels also give you more gold to spend, which comes in helpful if you need a few more archers to keep those ogres in check. The downsides of the phone version include that you must be quick when you double tapping the screen, which allows you to place your towers, and that it is a bit easier to click the wrong tower. It’s a bit annoying when you click barracks instead of archers. However, there are more positives than negatives in this game. The graphics to the game are sound, even for an App. Using the App allows you a chance to use heroes that you can place on levels to aid you in your conquest and the opportunity to purchase better heroes with iTunes. Along with heroes, there is a store that allows you to buy better weapons and upgrades, as long as the gems you earned are saved up a bit. It is also easier on the App to access the rain of fire and your reinforcements, which are key to any winning strategy  

These positive features allows for levels to be a bit more manageable, but that does not mean the game is impossible to defeat without them.
Overall Kingdom Rush is one of the better tower defense games out there. I would give it a 9 out of 10.
